Bangalore , Dec. 7

LABORATORY and process tech provider Sartorius Group has integrated its biotech and mechatronics divisions in India.

The group Chief Executive Officer of Sartorius, Mr Joachim Kreuzburg, told newspersons on Wednesday that the integration will enable the company to offer customised solutions from laboratory to process scale in weighing, filtration, fermentation and downstream solutions. The company also plans to invest around $4 million in setting up a new facility in Bangalore and a process and application laboratory.

"With this integration, we expect sales to cross the Rs 100-crore mark during the next year," Mr Kreuzburg said. "For Sartorius, India is one of the three fastest growing markets in the world," he said. Currently, Sartorius has around 400 employees in its Indian operations.

Mr Kreuzburg said Sartorius has an ambitious growth plan for India.
