Air India expects ground handling revenue of Rs 500 cr

AIR India says it expects at a ground handling revenue of Rs 500 crore during this fiscal.

It has positioned itself as a one-stop shop for ground and technical services through its ground-handling subsidiary, Air India Air Transport Services Ltd, according to AI Director (Public Relations), Mr Jitender Bhargava. Its other subsidiary Air India Engineering Services Ltd caters to engineering services.

The carrier holds 55 per cent market share in ground services. Last fiscal, its revenue from this segment was Rs 460 crore from services in 11 of the 15 airports in the country, Mr Bhargava told a news conference at Aerodrome India 2005.
