`Aviation Minister of the year' award for Praful Patel

NEW DELHI: The Civil Aviation Minister, Mr Praful Patel, has been awarded the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation's `Aviation Minister of the Year' for his contribution to the progress of aviation in the region.

According to a panel of industry experts, which selects awardees, the Minister demonstrated leadership in aviation liberalisation with far-reaching consequences for the global aviation market, an official release stated.
