L&T wins Rs 303-cr order from RIL

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Dec. 9

LARSEN & Toubro has won an order worth Rs 303 crore from Reliance Industries for supply of critical equipment for the latter's fast track Jamnagar export refinery project.

L&T will supply a range of equipment, including a fluidised catalytic cracker regenerator and an FCC reactor which perform critical process functions in refineries, said a news release from L&T.

The requirement was finalised against competition from Japanese, European and Korean manufacturers, it said.

L&T had supplied the world's largest regenerator to Reliance in 1998, and this is a repeat order for the company, it said. Over 50 per cent of the sales of L&T's heavy engineering division arises from exports to refinery majors in the US, Canada and Europe.
