RBF Nidhi to pay 5th instalment to depositors

THE board of directors of RBF Nidhi Ltd has decided to pay the fifth instalment of 5 per cent to its depositors. This will involve a payment of Rs 22.07 crore consisting of 1.42 lakh cases, according to a press release from RBF Nidhi, which is now managed by a Government appointed board. The release said the payment would be made through various branches of Indian Overseas Bank from January 16.

This is the second instalment to be released by this board, which assumed office in December 2004. The previous instalment was also for 5 per cent of the deposit amount.

The release said the total amount released so far from 2000 is Rs 131.86 crore, including the fifth instalment.
