The Hindu Business Line : Nedcap to launch awareness drive

ROPING in business chambers, transport industry, pollution control board (PCB) and housewives, the Nedcap (Non-conventional Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd) has decided to organise an massive week-long awareness campaign beginning December 14.

"For the first time, we have decided to involve a variety of energy users and stakeholders to make the campaign more meaningful," said Mr Lingaraj Panigrahi, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said the seminars would focus on domestic and agricultural sectors, transmission and distribution of power, commercial buildings and transport sector.

In association with the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci), the Nedcap would organise a seminar on December 19 on various aspects related to energy conservation in the industrial sector. The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, would inaugurate the campaign at the Jubilee Hall (Public Gardens).
