Tata Steel launches retail outlet in Kolkata

TATA Steel today unveiled the country's first steel retail store in Kolkata. The initiative also marks the steel major's foray into steel retailing.

Christened "Steeljunction", the retail outlet has on offer around 4,500 products from different brands. Steeljunction was inaugurated by Mr B. Muthuraman, Managing Director of Tata Steel.

According to company officials, Steeljunction would combine innovation with functionality and has been positioned as a one-stop-destination for consumers who intend to go "steel shopping". The entire range of steel, be it mild, alloyor stainless, would be covered in the product range on offer covering two sections, namely "home construction and maintenance products" and home aesthetics products".

The home construction and maintenance products on offer include re-bars, pipes, bath fittings, hand tools, hardware, galvanised and corrugated roofing sheets etc. The home aesthetics range includes stylised furniture, kitchenware, crockery, cutlery, lifestyle products, stainless steel jewellery, lamps, gift items etc.
