ONGC Finance Director bags award

Kolkata , Dec. 14

MR R. S. Sharma, Director (Finance) of ONGC, has bagged the `The India CFO Awards 2005' for `excellence in finance in a PSU.'

The award was conferred by International Market Assessment India Pvt Ltd (IMA) along with BNP Paribas, Sun Microsystems and CNBC TV-18 on December 13.

According to a 14-member jury committee headed by Mr G. N. Bajpai, former chairman of SEBI, Mr Sharma has played a major role in ONGC's rise to become India's most profitable company.
