Checkpoint Systems opens Indian subsidiary

CHECKPOINT Systems Inc US, provider of radio frequency-based product identification and theft management solutions for retailers, on Tuesday announced the opening of its Indian subsidiary, Checkpoint Systems India Pvt Ltd, said a company release.

The company is offering Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, which uses devices attached to objects to transmit data to a RFID receiver. The wireless Automatic Identification and Data Capture systems allow tracking of goods and products in the manufacturing and retail sectors without physical contact.

Mr John Davies, President, Checkpoint Systems, Asia Pacific and Latin America, said that India was one of the best growing retail markets in the world and the company saw excellent potential . The subsidiary would give the company an advantage in tapping the booming retail market in India , the release said.
