Nagarjuna Fertilisers bags award

NAGARJUNA Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd has announced that its fertiliser facility at Kakinada was selected for the `Excellence in Natural Gas Conservation' award in the fertilisers category for its contribution to natural gas conservation in the country in 2004-05.

The Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Panchayat Raj, Mr Ram Vilas Paswan, presented the award to the Nagarjuna Group Chairman, Mr K.S. Raju, and the Nagarjuna Fertilisers Vice-President (Plant Operations), Mr R.D. Mall, in New Delhi on Wednesday, the company press release said.

This annual award was instituted by the GAIL (India) in recognition of the work done by the organisations in gas conservation.

GAIL India has been conducting a nation-wide natural gas conservation programme.
