`Focus India' meet on drug R&D in Hyderabad

KASYAP Technologies, a Hyderabad-based, Life Sciences Research company in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), here plans to organise Focus India 2006 — a global conference on pharmaceuticals.

The conference is slated to be held here during March 15-16.

It would have five tracks— business forum, partnership table, discovery biology, discovery chemistry and clinical research, according to a press release from Kasyap Technologies.

The purpose of meet is to provide an insight into the drug discovery, research and development (R&D) capabilities to the international community, the release said.

The forum is positioned to enable global pharma R&D companies and research institutions explore strategic alternatives in India leading to R&D efficiencies and productivity.

The focus would be on forging collaborative R&D initiatives, establishing subsidiary units and outsourcing possibilities with Indian entities.
