Hyderabad , Dec. 15 ENHANCING the scope of its mail delivery system, Department of Posts (DoP) introduced InterCity Post and City Post on Thursday. InterCity Post, which deals with mail posted in one city and delivered in another, assures next day delivery. The CityPost deals with mail to be posted and delivered in the same city and it also offers next day delivery. Both the schemes will be tested for six months. The InterCity Post is on offer between Hyderabad and Chennai, and Hyderabad and Vijayawada. City Post, was launched in Vijayawada. The department has identified some post offices in the three cities for running the pilot project. The post offices in Chennai are: Chennai GPO, Anna Road HO, Park Town HO, Mylapore, Greams Road SO, St Thomas Mt HO, T Nagar HO, Adyar SO, Vadapalani SO, GI Estate SO, Annanagar SO, Chromepet SO, Tambaram HO, Ambattur HO, Avadi Camp HO and Ashoknagar SO. Hyderabad: Hyderabad GPO, Hyderabad Jubilee HO, Secunderabad HO, Khairatabad HO, Jamai Osmania, Bowenpally, Begumpet, Kacheguda Station HO, Humayunnagar, Himayatnagar, Banjara Hills, ECIL, Kukatpally, Cyberabad and Somajiguda. Vijayawada: Vijayawada HO, Buckinghampet HO, Gandhinagaram SO, Machavaram SO, Autonagar SO, V J Polytechnic SO, Venkateswarapuram SO, Satyanarayanapuram SO, Kamakotinagar SO, Krishnalanka SO and Ajitnagar SO.
