Our Bureau

Chennai , Dec. 15

Laser Soft Infosystems Ltd, a Chennai-based software company, is in talks with various system integrators (SIs), including Wipro and HP, to integrate its low cost core banking solution, Panacea, with their products, according to Mr B. Suresh Kamath, Chairman and Managing Director, Laser Soft.

"We are talking to a number of companies, and would like to work with a system integrator who would like to offer our low-cost solution," he told newspersons.

Panacea has been implemented in Corporation Bank (520 branch offices) and Andhra Bank (860). It covers all areas of banking, including corporate banking, retail banking and rural banking with an option for private banking, he said.

According to Mr Kamath, it costs Rs 20 crore for implementing Panacea in 1,000 branches when compared to the Rs 300-400 crore other companies charge for a similar solution.
