Hindustan Zinc raises sale price

HINDUSTAN Zinc Ltd, a major zinc and lead producer, has raised its sale prices by Rs 5,300-8,500 a tonne. The prices are applicable from Friday.

The company has raised the prices by Rs 8,500 a tonne on zinc products and Rs 5,400 a tonne for lead metal, trade sources said.

It has increased the prices to Rs 1,07,500 a tonne (Rs 99,000) for special high grade and Rs 1,07,300 per tonne (Rs 98,800) for high grade. In lead category, the company has increased prices to Rs 63,200 from the previous rate of Rs 57,900.

On December 1, Hindustan Zinc raised its prices by Rs 4,900 a tonne on zinc products and by Rs 400 a tonne for lead.

Similarly, the Bombay Metals Exchange has raised its benchmark price of copper wire bar by Rs 17,300 a tonne to Rs 2,59,558 , exchange sources said.
