KOCHI: The Cochin Special Economic Zone Industries Association (CSEZIA) has held a seminar here aimed at creating awareness about the ECGC packages available to the industries in the zone.

Mr K.K. Pillai, President, CSEZIA, said on the occasion that the new exporters were not aware of the ECGC products and its appropriate usage in the export functioning and hence the ECGC should expand its action plan to propagate their products. In fact, when an industry is given the licence for export activities they should be given a link to contact ECGC for further advice, he said.

"We can certainly endorse that the ECGC is more customer oriented today to protect the exporters," he said. However, awareness is to be made in the possible way, he added.

Mr Vijayagopalan, Assistant General Manager of ECGC, made a presentation. Mr Kasi Viswanathan from Dhanalakshmi Bank also spoke.
