GLOBAL Broadcast News' (GBN) 24-hour English news channel, CNN-IBN is finally on air.

The company, which is from the Television Eighteen India stable, is a 74:26 joint venture between TV18 and Mr Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, GBN, Mr Sameer Manchanda, Promoter, GBN, and Mr Haresh Chawla, Chief Executive, TV18 India.

CNN-IBN has a co-branding agreement with CNN, through which the channel would have access to CNN's news as well as its feature programmes.
