NEW DELHI: BBC World has promoted Mr Amit Upadhyay as Head of Distribution and Business Development for the South Asian region.

Based in Mumbai, Mr Upadhyay will be responsible for maximising and building on BBC World's current distribution base and identifying business development opportunities in the region. He will report to Mr Gerry Ritchie, Regional Director, Distribution and Business Development (Europe, Middle East, South Asia, Americas), based in London.
