Water levels increase in Kerala reservoirs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water levels at the three major reservoirs in the State - Idukki, Idamalayar and Kallada - have recorded considerable increase when compared to the last year.

Figures released by the Central Water Commission revealed that the level increased from by 26.13 ft at Idukki, 22.94 ft at Idamalayar and by 09.68 ft at Kallada year-on-year.

However, week-on-week comparisons say that the level increased from 329.27 ft to 380.58 ft at Kallada, while it declined at both Idukki (2392.82 ft to 2392.48 ft) and Idamalayar (529.59 ft to 528.58 ft).
