Professorship offered to former MAHE Vice-Chancellor

Mangalore , Dec. 20

THE Union Ministry of Human Resource Development has offered the position of National Research Professor to Prof. M.S. Valiathan, former Vice-Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).

A MAHE release said here that the professorship has been offered to him in recognition of his achievements and contributions to the development and innovations in the field of cardiac surgery. He will assume the professorship from January 1, the release added. Prof Valiathan is an honorary advisor of MAHE.
