IICT bags award for patent

HYDERABAD: The Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA) has selected the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), here for the `Best Patent Award' for 2004-05.

The IICT has been selected for its US patent granted for anti-cancer agents. It was one of the patents that the Institute has recently licensed to a US-based company, according to a press release. The Maharastra Chief Minster, Mr Vilas Rao Deshmukh, would give away the award at the IDMA meet in Mumbai.
