Revenue inspectors checking hand-held computers (Palmtecs) issued to them by the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) on Wednesday. With these Palmtecs, the BMP hopes to do away with the delay in updating data, feeding the details manually to computers and dependency on computer operators.

Revenue inspectors are now authorised to issue computer-generated receipts against property tax payment and feed the data to the computers on the same day.
