ONGC launches health info system

`HEALTH Information System' (HIS), an IT enabled health initiative under project Dhanvantari' went live in the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) dispensary, at the Rajahmundry Asset on Tuesday.

Rajahmundry is the seventh in the series of locations to be brought under the Dhanvantari map of ONGC, providing faster and effective medical facilities to all employees and their dependents of the Asset, according to an ONGC press release from Rajahmundry.

The System will help reduce the time spent by patients at the Health Centre and is both doctor and patient friendly. Speaking on the occasion Mr A.A. Khan, Asset Manager, ONGC Rajahmundry Asset said so far ONGC was talking about introduction of technology in operational areas for producing more oil and gas, but now it is also in the enterprise wide IT enabled health information system.
