Hyderabad , Dec. 21

SINGAPORE Airlines has announced revisions to its Hyderabad schedule. From the four-weekly flights that it operates to and from Hyderabad every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, the revisions only impact the Friday and Sunday frequencies for the time being.

Flight SQ 439 on both days (Friday and Sunday) will now depart Hyderabad at 2330 hours instead of the usual 2120 hours and will arrive at Singapore's Changi International Airport at 0630 hours the following morning.

Similarly on the in-bound leg, SQ 438 will depart Singapore at 2025 hours in place of 1815 hours and will arrive in Hyderabad at 2215 hours instead of 2005 hours, an airline press release said here.

The remainder of the weekly frequencies (Monday and Wednesday) will be progressively upgraded to the new schedule once the curfew imposed at the Hyderabad Airport due to the current runway extension project is lifted.

The runway extension project is expected to be completed by the end of January 2006.

Commenting on the revisions, Mr B.K. Ong, General Manager - India, Singapore Airlines, said, "The changes in our Hyderabad schedule revolve around offering convenience and comfort to our customers.

"The amended flight timings translate into improved, and lesser, transit times for customers travelling to onward US and North Asia destinations on the Singapore Airlines network".

Singapore Airlines commenced operations to Hyderabad from October 30. The revised scheduled would be applicable till January 31, 2006, it said in the release.
