Mastek `Elixir' for insurers

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Dec 22

MASTEK has launched `Elixir', a solution for policy administration by insurance companies in India. This is a component-based solution designed specifically for insurance companies that want to launch hybrid products and improve the efficiency of their distribution network.

This single solution will support all product lines including traditional life, health, unit linked, annuities and pension products.

The Mastek Chairman, Mr Ashank Desai, said that insurance is one of the top sectors with respect to the per capita consumption of information technology. "Incomes are rising among the Indian middle class and there is an increasing demand for innovative and customised life insurance products. We can provide solutions that are home-grown and yet globally approved."

Elixir is an end-to-end policy administration platform that integrates the front and back office. Its business components include channel management, point of sale, underwriting, reinsurance and portals.
