Commodity Exchanges Record NCDEX deliveries for Dec contracts Our Bureau
Mumbai , Dec. 25 AT the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), December 2005 contracts saw record open interest to deliveries ratio. In Chana, jeera, sesame seeds, soyabean meal, sugar (M) and yellow peas, December delivery to open interest ratio was 100 per cent while the ratio in guar gum was 99.85 per cent. Out of the 20 commodities delivered on the exchange, 12 commodities saw open interest to deliveries ratio of above 80 per cent. The exchange saw deliveries in 14 commodities touch new heights. Deliveries in guar gum (3,360 tonnes), jeera (2,142 tonnes), soyabean (910 tonnes), sugar M-grade (990 tonnes), soyabean meal (100 tonnes), yellow peas (150 tonnes), urad (2,730 tonnes) and medium staple cotton (9,350 tonnes) broke previous records, an exchange release said. The exchange saw record deliveries on its metal contracts too with silver deliveries of 19,950 kg.
