C-Dac to establish wireless sensor lab

THE Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-Dac), Pune has initiated steps to establish a wireless sensor networks laboratory.

Further, it is working on a framework development for this area common to different applications.

As a part of its efforts to familiarise the new technology and its applications, C-Dac is hosting a workshop on Wireless Sensor Networks (W2SN) on December 29 here.

In a press release, Dr N. Sarat Chandra Babu, Director, C-Dac, said, "Different mechanisms of information gathering, processing and sharing and storage are being used today. Ubiquitous computing helps achieve the objective of providing information anywhere, anytime."
