Hyderabad , Dec. 26

OBT Global, the Hyderabad-based SAP solutions provider, has announced plans to develop solutions in two more rapidly growing industry segments of retail and food-processing sector, while expanding its global support-cum-help desk centre here.

The President of OBT, Mr Ramesh Kodali, said the company, which was recently acquired by Zensar Technologies Ltd, would function as a separate entity. It would complement its products developed for textiles, pharmaceuticals and engineering verticals.

The company, which has Super Spinning Mills, a LG Balakrishanan group company, and Associated Capsule, one of the largest capsule manufacturer in the country with five plants, and Hikma, a pharma company based in Jordan and India, as its clients, is now planning to expand its team from 150 to 200 by middle of next year.

While refraining to disclose the deal terms for the acquisition of OBT by Zensar, Mr Kodali said the company would be able to register revenues of $4.5 million (about Rs 21 crore) by this fiscal.

The company is now working on the upgrade of the existing verticals and broadening applicability for pharma companies.
