Steady trend in rubber prices

DOMESTIC spot rubber prices continued to exhibit a steady trend on Wednesday. Covering groups were buyers in selected grades but they preferred to buy low volumes as there were no quantity sellers in sheet rubber.

According to sources, an improvement in transactions was witnessed in village markets. NMCE January delivery contract was traded at Rs 72.61 (72.24), February contract at Rs 74.20 (73.79), March contract at Rs 75.18 (74.84) and April contract at Rs 76.42 (75.99) a kg for RSS 4.

RSS 3 was flat at Rs 76.95 a kg at Bangkok. Spot prices a kg were: RSS-4: Rs 71.50 (71.50); RSS-5: Rs 69 (69);

ungraded: Rs 67.50 (67.50); ISNR 20: Rs 68.50 (69) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 50 (50).
