Mudra to handle Johnson & Johnson

Our Bureau

MUMBAI: Mudra Group has bagged Johnson & Johnson's skincare brands account. The J&J business will be managed by Canvas Communications, Mudra Group's regional agency for the west.

Ms Geeta Rao has been appointed Creative Advisor and Head J&J, while Ms Kiran Dhameja is the Business Head. Canvas Communications would look after the Neutrogena and Clean & Clear products. Internationally, these brands are with the DDB Network. Team J&J will work closely with the DDB network.

Mr Madhukar Kamath, MD and CEO, Mudra, said, "We wanted the J&J business to be managed by a dedicated team which was housed separately, and operated as an independent unit, within the Mudra Group.Canvas is a good opportunity to do that. With growth and our eagerness to offer our expertise to clients, it makes sense for us to cater to client needs through dedicated teams. We have a senior team with fantastic credentials, and some really good talent driving Canvas."

Ms Rao said, "Neutrogena and Johnson & Johnson represent a terrific creative opportunity. I have worked on the J&J business earlier and there is a lot of freedom for creative expression and easy interaction with the client — that is essential to creating good work. This is a category that has tremendous potential for award-winning work. I have seen that earlier on Ponds, Dove and Lakme."
