Goldstone Tele seeks patent for silicon polymer

GOLDSTONE Teleservices Ltd, the Hyderabad-based telecom accessories manufacturer, has applied for patent for the silicon compound (polymer compound) used in housing composite insulators.

According to a statement from the company, it is currently working on developing technology for the manufacture of advanced material for high performance application using composite science.

The Executive Vice-President of Goldstone Teleservices, Mr Surender Nath, said in a statement, "Our research activities are focussed on backward integration to reduce dependence on imports and save foreign exchange.

The company has completed the testing phase for silicon polymers at the Central Power Research Institute, Bangalore, and is in the process of supplying them to State electricity boards."
