Scientist bags ISCA award

HYDERABAD: Dr Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Senior Scientist at Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), has been selected for the `Dr B.C. Deb Memorial Award for Soil/Physical Chemistry' award of ISCA (Indian Science Congress Association).

He was selected for the award for his outstanding contributions in chemistry of soil potassium and its dynamics in Indian soils and nutritional deficiencies in dryland regions of the country.

The award will be presented to Dr Rao by the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, at the inaugural of the Indian Science Congress, here on January 3, a CRIDA press release said.
