New Delhi , Jan. 1

THE Delhi-based Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB) has signed a MoU with the School of Business, California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB), US, and also an agreement of academic co-operation with the University of Arkansas, US, to facilitate various student and teacher related programmes.

The MoU signed by FIIB with CSUMB lets FIIB participate in the proposed executive programme of CSUMB and also assist in developing modules for it to deal with specific aspects of management practice and problems in developing environment.

CSUMB will in turn accept participants recommended by FIIB for inclusion in the programme. Both institutes have agreed to exchange faculty for the purpose.

FIIB would offer special modules for understanding of management systems in India, business environment, culture and tradition. The students of both the institutes will attend courses in either institution.

"A joint team will select students from both institutions to undertake project and consulting assignments in India, the US and other countries with an understanding that credits will be given to students in their own country's programme for courses attended in either institution," says Dr Reena Ramachandran, Director General, FIIB.

The Agreement of Academic Cooperation signed by FIIB with the University of Arkansas would support the exchange of students, professors and researchers between the two colleges.

The agreement would help in jointly developing and organising specialised courses and academic programmes that can help improve the quality of teaching at both the universities.
