Call for Re 1 a minute from Reliance mobile

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Jan 1

RELIANCE Infocomm today announced that calls from Reliance India Mobile prepaid accounts would cost only Re 1 a minute from anywhere to anywhere in the country.

"It is our New Year gift to our subscribers. They can now exchange greetings without worrying much about the calling rate. Coming close on the heels of the Lifetime Validity Voucher, this aggressive plan will further increase the options for our subscribers," said Mr S.P. Shukla, President (Wireless).

According to an official statement, the One-Nation Tariff would be applicable on e-Recharge of Rs 1,100, inclusive of service tax. This e-Recharge comes bundled with 1,100 free SMS that can be sent to any phone within the State.

A similar plan is available for post-paid subscribers on `New Joy 499'. They can make calls from anywhere in the country to any mobile or fixed line phone for Re 1 a minute.

Further, they can call any Reliance India Mobile within the State at 40 paise a minute, the statement said.

The new initiative follows the company's Rs 180 SMS top-up voucher, which allows for 18,000 SMS over six months.
