Campaign against corruption

My full support to Anna Hazare, who is on a fast, at Ralegan Siddhi, demanding the implementation of the Justice Sawant Commission report.

Corrupt politicians should not be spared; they should be penalised and the message sent that corruption will not be tolerated.

I also laud his efforts in the past several decades to bring in better governance in the village panchayat and the enactment of the Right to Information Act.

His team, the members of Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolan and other NGOs with whom he has been associated and those who have stood by him in his fight against corruption, misgovernance and maladministration deserve congratulation.

We can make a difference, if we care to.

G. R. Vora
