THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, will participate in the World Economic Forum summit being held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 25 to 29.

According to an official press release, Mr Chandy's speech at the economic summit held in New Delhi in November last paved the way for his participation in the Davos meeting. This is the first time that Kerala is getting representation in the World Economic Forum summit.

Apart from Mr Chandy, the Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, the Union Commerce Minister, Mr Kamal Nath, the Delhi Chief Minister, Ms Sheila Dikshit, and the Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ms Vasundaraje Scindia, are attending the summit this year.
