Strike at AP Paper Mills unit

ANDHRA Pradesh Paper Mills Ltd has informed the stock exchanges that the workmen of the company's unit-CP located at M.R. Palem in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh have gone on strike from January 5 even after entering into a settlement on December 19 last year under Section 12(3) of Industrial Disputes Act before the Additional Commissioner of Labour, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

According to the company, in terms of provisions of Industrial Disputes Act, any strike after conclusion of the settlement is illegal.

However, the company said the strike had no impact on the operations of main factory situated at Rajahmundry.
