Science Congress to unveil Hyderabad Plan of Action

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: There won't be any formal Declaration when curtains fall on the 93rd Indian Science Congress on Saturday.

"Instead, we will come out with the Hyderabad Plan of Action by March," Dr I.V. Subba Rao, the General President of the five-day Science Congress, said. The meet, however, would take up some resolutions.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said a committee had been formed under the chairmanship of Prof. M.S. Swaminathan, Chairman of National Commission on Farmers, to finalise the Plan of Action. Experts in relevant fields were part of the committee.

It would study various proposals made at the Congress before finalising the draft.

Prof. Subba Rao said the next edition of Science Congress would be held at Amity University, NOIDA. The theme for the next Congress was Earth Planet.
