Awards for 14 young scientists

HYDERABAD: Fourteen young scientists from different parts of the country have received the ISCA (Indian Science Congress Association) awards from the President, Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, at the 93rd chapter of the Indian Science Congress.

The award carries a citation and Rs 25,000 in cash.

The winners included Mr Anirban Roy (Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres, Kolkata) — Agriculture and Forestry Sciences; Mr Syed Salman Ahmad (Osmania University, Hyderabad) - Anthropological and Behavioural Sciences; Mr Ajay Kumar (Kurukshetra University) - Chemical Sciences; Mr Manoj Khandelwal (Department of Earth Sciences, IIT Bombay) - Engineering Sciences; and Mr Rathinam Aravindhan (Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai) - Environmental Sciences.
