KSIDC signs pact with UTI Bank

THE Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UTI Bank for joint activities such as identification of new projects and project appraisal.

The MoU also covers infrastructure advisory services, restructuring advisory, issue management and related activities, bid process management, financial closure and due-diligence services for various clients.

Mr Mathew George, Assistant Vice-president of UTI Bank, said the bank had taken up a number of advisory services in the country, which include financial advisory for Bangalore Metro Rail Project and Sethusamudra Corporation Ltd. Besides, it has taken up project advisory and bid process management for development of National Highway projects through private sector participation.

KSIDC has been associated with a slew of major projects in Kerala such as BSES power project, Mattanchery bridge, initial work related to Kochi Metro Rail project and bid manager for the computerisation project of Local Self Government Department.

The MoU signed was signed by Mr. P.H. Kurien, Managing Director of KSIDC, and Mr M.M. Agrawal, President, UTI Bank.
