Wake up BSNL

With private mobile operators offering all-India one rupee STD rate and life-long SIM validity, it is time BSNL faced up to competition. The present mobile schemes of BSNL — prepaid or post-paid — are comparatively less viable, financially. Unless BSNL slashes the rates and makes the post-paid schemes more attractive, the migration of cell-users to private operators as well as mass surrender of BSNL landlines would continue.
