Modernising airports

This is with reference to the editorial, "Will it take off" (Business Line, January 6). Not only is it timely, but also a grim reminder of how our bureaucracy functions. Even as we boast of being the fourth biggest economy in the world, the speed with which the finalisation and implementation of modernising the Delhi and Bombay airports is taking place is indeed shameful. It is the time an aggressive and timebound approach is adopted to modernise this vital infrastructure to the benefit of the economy and for the convenience of the travellers.
