Mumbai, Jan. 10 LOWER earnings expectations of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and cautious approach by investors ahead of Infosys Technologies' third quarter results on Wednesday dragged the benchmark index BSE-30 by 138.15 points (1.14 per cent) on Tuesday. NSE's Nifty index fell by 39.3 points to end at 2,870.80 points. "Investors were not willing to take fresh positions as both third quarter results of Reliance Industries and Infosys Technologies are to be announced when the markets are closed," said Mr Ketan Dedhia, Managing Director, Nalanda Securities.
