Defence expo from Jan 15

MAJOR global and Indian defence companies and research establishments are expected to take part in the upcoming International Conference on Quality and Reliability in Aerospace and Exhibition in Hyderabad on January 15-16.

A feature of the conference, titled `Conquest-2006' will be the single-window facility to all the companies to have direct interactions with defence research establishments, according to the organisers.

The defence companies participating in the exhibition are drawn from producers of aerospace material, automation, special design, software, chemicals, castings and forgings, etc.

Experts from aerospace technology and systems, automobile, telecom, IT, biotechnology, process technologies, and other important areas, will share their experiences and discuss the latest developments.

The event, to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, is being organised by the Research Centre Imarat (RCI), a DRDO lab, and the Society for Aerospace Quality and Reliability and is being supported by the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Small Industries Association.
