Batronics, Celebrity list at premium

THE boom in the IPO market continued with two issues - Bartronics India and Celebrity Fashions - listing today at a premium to the issue price. The trading volumes in these stocks were also high with the number of shares traded together on the BSE and the NSE being more than the issue size.

Bartronics, a company into bar coding and related business, was listed at 47 per cent premium to the issue price of Rs 75. On the NSE, the stock closed at Rs 110.75 with volumes of 66.62 lakh shares and on the BSE, it closed at Rs 110.6 with volumes of 56.98 lakh shares.

Bartronics issue was for 75 lakh shares and in today's trading 1.23 crore shares were traded on the BSE and the NSE.

Celebrity Fashions, a company into manufacturing garments, was listed at a premium of 27 per cent to its issue price of Rs 180. The stock closed at Rs 228.90 with volumes of 67.73 lakh shares on the NSE; on the BSE, it closed at Rs 229.65 with volumes of 42.82 lakh shares.

It had come out with issue of 45.50 lakh shares and in today's trading a total of 1.10 crore shares were traded.
