mFormation buys Aepona arm

MFORMATION Technologies Inc, the global leader in the market for mobile device management (MDM), has announced the acquisition of Aepona (England) Ltd, the leading supplier of MDM for over the air settings and automatic device configuration.

Aepona (England) Ltd is a subsidiary of Northern Ireland-based Aepona Group Ltd.

"The deal will allow mFormation to extend its global lead in comprehensive MDM solutions by delivering real value to the network operator, enabling them to configure, deploy, support, secure, update, retire services to a variety of market segments including consumer, enterprise, SME and small office home office (SoHo)," said Mr Mark Edwards, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of mFormation Technologies.

Together, mFormation and Aepona deliver MDM solutions to over 20 independent network operators.
