Indian Game Industry assn formed

GAMING industry players have joined hands to form an exclusive Indian Game Industry Association, iGITA, aimed at promoting and catalysing the growth of the Indian gaming industry.

Dhruva Interactive, Electronic Arts, Hungama, Indiagames, Mauj, Microsoft India (Entertainment & Devices Division), Mobile2Win, Paradox Studios, Small Device and Tinfo Mobile are among its founding members.

The Chief Executive Officer of Dhruva Interactive, Mr Rajesh Rao, in a statement said: "iGITA would strive to create recognition for the Indian gaming market by fostering collaboration between the industry and its stakeholders. iGITA would recommend growth initiatives, while encouraging investment and nurturing talent.
