Our Bureau

Coimbatore , Jan. 13

AXCEND Automation and Software Solutions in the industrial automation space is looking at increasing its reach in the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) markets of Coimbatore and Chennai.

The company has evolved a series of software applications for the manufacturing sector. Stating that industrial automation was not something new as organisations were used to automating shop floor processes,

Axcend's Chief Executive Officer Ms. Uma Balakrishnan said that plant floor automation extended beyond controls and operation functions as a strategic tool, vital for success.

While conceding that process has remained the same but could be monitored real time because of technological advances, she said the drivers were the Internet and the price and features of the product

The company has a full-fledged technology centre at Bangalore.
