The Hindu's job fair proves a big draw in Hyderabad

MORE than 25,000 job aspirants had an opportunity to get a feel of the booming technology and service sector job market while interacting with about 21 companies at the job fair being held at Hitex Exposition.

The Hindu Opportunities Fair 2006 provided them with an opportunity to explore a career of their choice.

While some landed up with offers, many others went dejected but wiser getting a closer feel of the job market they are in for.

Cognizant is recruiting in the areas of SAP, CRM, Siebel, PeopleSoft apart from J2EE, JAVA, .Net, data warehousing and testing areas.

Perot Systems has short-listed 300 aspirants for technical round.

The job market looked extremely upbeat and even the Institute for Electronic Governance, an AP Government enterprise, was found scouting for people.

An online survey conducted by the Jobstreet.com shows that the Employee Confidence Index is up by almost 70 per cent, wherein aspirants feel that their chances of landing a good job are high.
