TELK bags orders worth Rs 50 crore

Kochi,Jan. 15

THE State public sector unit Transformers and Electricals Kerala Ltd (TELK) has started the New Year in style by bagging orders worth Rs 50 crore.

The orders were received from Power Grid, New Delhi, L&T, Chennai, GRA Energy India Ltd, Chennai etc. Before the end of the financial year on March 31, the company expects to receive orders to the tune of Rs 50 crore more from various reputed customers, Mr K.R. Viswambharan, Managing Director, said.

The company's export this fiscal will touch Rs 30 crore against an export performance of Rs 6 crore last year and this year will be an all-time record for the company, he said.

The business environment is quite conducive for the company as the power sector in India is now booming, which requires huge investments in the sector, he added.
