Former MCI official heads Reliance Comm

THE Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Enterprises is understood to have appointed a senior official from MCI, as President of Reliance Communication Inc.

Mr Michael P. Sauer has left MCI where he was the Executive Vice-President. He has already joined Reliance Communications and is based in New York, said officials with the ADAE.

Mr Sauer has been associated with building MCI from the initial days of its operations, and is believed to have spent 23 years at the company. Reliance Communications' "hiring spree" for its global business had begun with Mr Sauer's appointment, said the officials.
